Prenatal Alcohol and Drug Exposure: Supporting the Social and Emotional Health of Affected Children and Youth

Event Description

Children prenatally exposed to alcohol and drugs face increasing neurodevelopmental challenges as they grow and develop. These challenges translate into behavioral and learning difficulties that affect their social and emotional health.  This program will discuss the structural and functional changes in the developing fetal brain that occur as the result of prenatal substance exposure and present evidence-based approaches to treatment and support that can be integrated into a cohesive and comprehensive intervention strategy. Join presenter Dr. Ira J. Chasnoff for this learning opportunity on October 31, 2024. This training is approved for 1.5 hours of CPDU for EISC, EISC Supervisor, and DS.
